So, me being me, I was more or less nervous as all hell before stepping up there. However, once I actually got up there, I rocked house. I mean, in the time alotted to me I managed to introduce myself, talk about the work I did, and best of all make everyone laugh their asses off more than any of the other interns. I think part of it was that I was being very honest and frank with everyone, and my nervousness screwed me up in funny ways that just had everyone coughing up their snacks. Of course, I was also (somehow) being confident amongst it all and getting out some nice, work friendly, jokes that also helped everyone get a break from the normal, planned, monotone and robotic speeches most other interns had. Even though I may have made a little bit of a fool of myself, I still like the fact that I was able to have everyone laughing and bring some joy to the otherwise cloudy, rainy, dreary day and monotanous work environment.
I think the odd thing is that I had actually made a speech beforehand so that I was going to be, more or less, the same as 90% of the other interns. However, shortly before going into it I just memorized the key parts of what I wrote down and then tacked on whatever I thought would work, which included poking fun at myself and others in a nice way.
Oh and as for the 'Llama' mood, I chose that just to be funny. I don't actually feel like a llama, I was just going through the moods related to funny stuff and found it and I was like 'LOL, llama'.
